THINGS TO REMEMBER

EXFOLIATE

Exfoliation is vital in achieving a flawless tan!  It is recommended to exfoliate at least 1-2 days  before your sunless application. A washcloth or exfoliating KESSA mitt with soap works best. Spend a little extra time exfoliating areas that tend to be dry like the elbows, feet, and hands. If you need a mitt feel free to swing by and get one for $8.00    

SOAPS & LOTIONS TO AVOID

Avoid using moisturizing soaps and body washes before you tan. These soaps leave a layer on the skin that won't allow the tan to penetrate through to make an even application. Clear body wash or our spray tan safe body cleanser are recommended.  ​ 

LOTION

Avoid any oils or lotions that use mineral oil (petroleum), baby oil, coconut oil, and Sodium Laureth Sulfate (which is found in most body washes).  I have found the best lotions to use are Aveeno, Cetaphil, Hempz, and CeraVe.  Lotions with perfumes contain high alcohol levels and tend to dry out the skin.    

SHAVING

if you shave, it needs to be at least 10 hours before your sunless session. DO NOT use shaving cream because it contains (lanolin) an oil that acts as a barrier between your skin and sunless solution.  ​ 

WAXING/PEDICURES/MANICURES

Any mani/pedi's  should be done prior to your session, because the exfoliation process can deteriorate the life of your tan. If done after, it is recommended for a polish change only.  Waxing should be done 1 to 2 days  prior to your session.  ​ 

DRY SKIN/LOTION

If you have dry skin, apply a very light water based lotion evenly to your skin at least 2 hours prior to your appointment. Do not apply any oils pre or prior to your sunless application. 

MAKE-UP/HAIR

For best results remove make-up prior to your tan and pull your hair back in a ponytail. We will provide you with a hair net.  ​

CLOTHING

During your tan women have the option to wear a swimsuit, go topless , wear pasties ( we provide those) or bandeaux tops/bottoms. What ever your comfortable in! Please bring dark loose clothing to wear after your tan.  Also, it is a good idea to bring a towel to lay down on your car seat prior to application if your are wearing shorts or a dress.

FAQ'S

• Pre-Appointment Information - Pedicures, nails, massages, and waxing need to be done 24 hours prior to your spray tan. Come showered. Exfoliated. No deodorant. No make-up. Shaved.  Please do all of these listed at least 4 hours prior to your appointment. The day before is ideal.  
• Shaving Information - Razor moisturizing strips can cause streaking on your legs because it acts as a barrier to the solution, so be sure to shave the day before and wipe your legs down with a damp towel really well afterward.
•  Post Spray Tan Information - Your technician will advise you when to rinse based on your custom formula.
• Post Spray Tan Aftercare Information - After you  rinse with WATER ONLY , do not apply any lotions or anything. Your spray tan will continue to develop for the next 12hours. Then you can wash and lotion as normal.  If you apply any lotions or soaps after the first rinse it will block the DHA from further developing your tan. Lotions without sulfates, chemicals, scents, or alcohols are your best friend. These will keep you from fading uneven and make your tan last longer. Do not rub your skin with your towel.
